Pembroke Park mayor’s legislative aide misses deadline, NOW suspended without pay

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — Sources tell Local 10 News the legislative aide to Pembroke Park Mayor Geoffrey Jacobs has now been suspended without pay after missing a deadline to respond to questions in an internal investigation.

A source familiar with the investigation tells Local 10 that Ashley Sikora failed to respond to written questions as part of the town’s review of her job performance. She was given a Friday, Feb. 27 deadline to reply. According to the source, that deadline passed without a response.

Sikora had already been placed on administrative leave with pay on Feb. 12, less than 24 hours after Local 10 began asking questions about her role with the town. The Town of Pembroke Park confirmed at the time that an internal investigation had been launched into concerns raised by this newsroom…
