Five-acre redevelopment transforms industrial corridor into arts and business destination in Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – The City of Fort Lauderdale marked a new chapter for Progresso Village with the official opening of the Thrive Art District, a five-acre redevelopment that reshapes a once-industrial stretch into a center for creativity and commerce.

Situated at 710 NW 5th Avenue, the district introduces more than 80,000 square feet of flexible space designed to nurture local businesses and draw visitors from across the region. What was previously an underused corridor now stands as a lively destination built around art, culture and entrepreneurship.
