London Hotspot to Open First U.S. Location in South Florida

Hallandale Beach is about to get a dose of London glam when its most anticipated restaurant opening happens this month. Signor Sassi, the Italian favorite that has been a stalwart in London’s upscale Knightsbridge district for more than 40 years, will open its first North American location at 1006 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd. on Saturday, March 14.

Since its 1984 debut in London’s Knightsbridge beside Harrods, the restaurant has been a favorite for celebs like Rihanna, the Rolling Stones, and the Foo Fighters, who have all dined beneath its mirrors. The brand has expanded to Dubai and Doha, but the Hallandale outpost marks its first move into the United States.

The project is led by Daniel Alberto Rodriguez of Victorem Hospitality Group. Rodriguez is working with the UK-based San Carlo Restaurants group to bring the brand to South Florida.

Global Cuisine with Italian Influences

While the kitchen hasn’t confirmed the exact Hallandale Beach menu, the brand is known for a modern Italian cuisine lineup. At the London flagship, the spaghetti lobster is the undisputed favorite. The dish features lobster prepared in a 12-hour slow-cooked tomato paste and house-made lobster bisque that clings to the spaghetti. Another signature is the avocado bernardo, which layers avocado with lobster, scampi, and prawns, topped with “Marie Rose” sauce…
