Five people who pleaded guilty in connection with a $3.5 million credit card fraud and money laundering scheme in South Florida have been sentenced to prison, officials said.
Willan Pupo, 38, was sentenced to 132 months in federal prison, while 39-year-old Joel Castillo was sentenced to 58 months, 42-year-old William Castillo was sentenced to 55 months, 36-year-old Miriam Pupo was sentenced to 37 months and 40-year-old Jessica Forpomes was sentenced to 36 months, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida said Tuesday.
