‘I’m liable to shoot this place up’: Man accused of threatening Tamarac clinic over medical records

TAMARAC, Fla. — Deputies arrested a Deerfield Beach man on Wednesday after they said he made threats to bomb, shoot and “release a hound of demons on” workers at a medical clinic over his inability to obtain his parents’ health records.

Broward Sheriff’s Office investigators said Saul Vargas, 49, was arrested after he showed up at the Las Mercedes Medical Center at 6674 NW 57th St. in Tamarac.

Deputies said he made the threats to a worker at the Las Mercedes call center in Virginia Gardens. According to an arrest report, the threats were all captured in a recording lasting 4 minutes, 36 seconds…
