Fire lieutenant pulls 2 to safety after dangerous leap into Boynton Beach Inlet

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A lieutenant on an ATV rushed into action Saturday, rescuing a duo who jumped off a Boynton Beach Inlet dock and struggled to reach the shore.

According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue’s Ocean Rescue unit, two people jumped off a dock at the Boynton Beach Inlet on 4000 S. Ocean Blvd. around 2 p.m. and struggled to get back to shore.

Firefighters say a lieutenant on an ATV saw the duo jump in and rushed over to rescue them.

Both individuals were checked out by PBCFR and released without injuries, per officials…
