South Florida flights to and from LaGuardia Airport axed after runway crash

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — South Florida airports are experiencing significant disruptions with flights to and from LaGuardia Airport in New York after an Air Canada regional jet collided with a fire truck on the runway late Sunday night.

As of 6 a.m. Monday, dozens of flights have been cancelled at Palm Beach International Airport (PBIA) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport have been cancelled, while Miami International Airport is showing few cancellations to and from LaGuardia.

All morning and afternoon flights from LaGuardia Airport to PBIA have been cancelled. The earliest expected arrival from LaGuardia is an American Airlines flight, scheduled to touch down at PBIA around 5:38 p.m…
