BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A bold retail spree at Boca Town Center led police to two suspects accused of smashing into a BMW and racking up thousands in stolen credit card charges within hours.
The investigation began Feb. 4, when officers with the Boca Raton Police Department responded to a vehicle burglary at The Mark parking garage. The victim reported his 2026 BMW X3 was broken into on the third floor between roughly 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Stolen was a $200 Banana Republic trench coat containing a $700 Louis Vuitton wallet with his Illinois driver’s license and credit cards from Wells Fargo, American Express, and Chase, per BRPD. A crime scene investigation yielded no evidence.
Within an hour, the victim reported fraudulent and attempted charges. Detectives later tied several transactions to the Boca Town Center mall, including a $2,334.92 purchase at Psycho Bunny and attempted charges of $10,000 at a jewelry store and $1,126.23 at Foot Locker…
