Sunrise, Florida – A Florida mother is facing additional criminal charges after authorities say she left her children alone in an Uber for more than two hours, prompting a police search and raising serious concerns about child safety.
According to local police, 32-year-old Emily Sabogal now faces two counts of child neglect and unlawful child desertion, as prosecutors added a new charge during a recent court hearing.

Authorities say the incident occurred in February when an Uber driver contacted police after the mother allegedly left her two children in his vehicle and failed to return.
