Two men died when they were out of their vehicles on the shoulder of Interstate 95 in Jacksonville and were struck by a pickup truck in the early morning.
It happened about 4:45 a.m. April 1 near Old. St. Augustine Road.
“For reasons yet to be determined, V2 and V3 were parked just north of the pickup truck in the inside lane,” according to the Florida Highway Patrol crash report. “The occupants of V2 and V3 were standing in the inside shoulder near their vehicles.
