Authorities in Miami Gardens have launched a homicide investigation after a woman’s body was discovered in a local lake, officials confirmed.
Body Recovered from Miami Gardens Lake
According to the Miami Gardens Police Department, the body of Geneva Bennett Prevatt, 55, was found on March 26 near the 1000 block of Northwest 208th Terrace.
Officers responded to the scene after receiving reports and recovered the woman’s body from the water.
Medical Examiner Rules Death a Homicide
The Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy, which officially classified the death as a homicide.
