A judge refused to dismiss charges against professional boxer Gervonta Davis in an alleged violent attack on his ex-girlfriend at a Miami Gardens gentlemen’s club last year as new video shows part of the encounter.
Davis, 31, was arrested in January on charges of battery, false imprisonment and attempted kidnapping in the alleged incident that happened Oct. 27 at a club where the woman worked.
In court Wednesday, defense attorneys were asking a judge to throw out the case, arguing that prosecutors failed to properly review evidence before filing charges.
