Fire at Boca Raton Town Center Mall restaurant near Bloomingdale’s prompted evacuation

BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — Boca Raton Fire Rescue responded to a fire at the Boca Raton Town Center Mall Thursday evening.

At approximately 6:56 p.m. on Thursday, Boca Raton Dispatch received reports of a large fire on the roof of a restaurant near Bloomingdale’s. Fire crews arrived quickly and confirmed visible smoke and flames.

Crews on scene indicated the fire may have started as a grease fire in the kitchen of the restaurant Tobu, which then extended to the rooftop of the food court near Bloomingdale’s…
