MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (WPEC) — A former South Florida property manager accused of stealing nearly $200,000 from homeowners’ associations to fund a lavish lifestyle was booked into the Martin County Jail early Thursday morning, jail records show.
Alexandra Delacaridad Gonzalez, 46, of Miramar, turned herself in shortly after 2 a.m. April 9, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. She is now facing 124 felony charges, including multiple first-degree counts of fraud and grand theft, after authorities say she carried out a wide-ranging embezzlement scheme while managing HOA finances.
“She was ducking us, trying not to not turn herself in, trying to buy time, but she reached out through a bondsman,” said Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek. “And then through an attorney figured out the trouble she was in.”…
