In the wake of Spirit Airlines’ collapse, a Broward County commissioner is proposing a plan to turn the company’s headquarters in Dania Beach into a new government center.
Commissioner Michael Udine said repurposing the headquarters as a government center would save the county money and time.
“It’s 11 acres. It’s right off (Interstate) 95,” Udine said. “It’s already built, it’s latest and greatest in construction.”…
