A Coral Springs man was arrested after police said an alleged hours-long beating and choking left a woman unable to walk, unconscious at one point, and hospitalized.
According to a Coral Springs Police Department arrest report, Mark Anthony Scott, 48, was arrested May 4 and charged with domestic battery by strangulation, domestic battery, and depriving a victim of 911 communication.
According to police, officers responded to a residence in the 8400 block of Northwest 35th Street after a medical call. Before the call was dispatched, the same caller had contacted 911, and dispatchers allegedly heard a male voice in the background telling the caller to “hang up the phone.”…
