Southwest Florida Proton, a state-of-the-art cancer treatment center in Lee County, has reached a significant milestone less than a year after opening its doors, successfully treating its first 100 patients.
The Estero-based facility, which opened in December following an $80 million investment, announced it is expanding treatment hours in response to growing demand for proton therapy services. The center now operates 14 hours per day, a target that was originally expected to be reached by the end of 2026.
