U-Haul, K-9s, And Swampy Surrender: Multi-County Chase Snares Violent Felon In Florida Pond

A multi-county manhunt ended in a muddy swamp Wednesday morning after a wanted felon led deputies on a chaotic chase through Collier County in a rented U-Haul truck.

The drama began Tuesday night in neighboring Lee County, where 41-year-old Floyd Wiley Stuck allegedly committed multiple violent offenses. Lee County Sheriff’s deputies initially tracked him down and pulled him over, but Stuck managed to flee the scene, triggering a regional search.

By Wednesday morning, investigators with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Fugitive Warrants Bureau had picked up Stuck’s trail.
