Survivor of deadly wrong-way I-75 crash speaks out as she struggles to rebuild her life

ARCADIA, Fla. (WWSB) – Three weeks after a deadly wrong-way crash on Interstate 75 in Charlotte County, one of the survivors is sharing her story publicly for the first time.

Jacqueline Flores was driving home with her 15-year-old son, Aleksander, and his 12-year-old brother after a night at Dave & Buster’s in Fort Myers when investigators say a wrong-way driver crashed into their vehicle in the early morning hours of May 17.

“I just saw his headlights out of nowhere and I instinctively swerved right,” Flores said. “It just happened in the blink of an eye.”…
