Following Hurricane Ian, when devastation overwhelmed Matlacha, Pine Island and surrounding communities, United Way acted without hesitation.
More than $25,000 in gift cards were placed directly into survivors’ hands right when they needed it most. At the same time, United Way mobilized its network – food banks, recovery agencies, local government and trusted partners such as the Beacon of Hope – to assess needs and deliver coordinated, effective relief.
