Another nationally recognized restaurant brand is targeting Florida’s Gulf Coast for expansion, with Grimaldi’s Pizzeria planning multiple new locations across Southwest Florida.
The New York-rooted pizza concept has entered into a development agreement that calls for five new restaurants across Sarasota, Lee and Collier counties, including a planned Sarasota County location. The expansion will introduce Grimaldi’s to one of Florida’s fastest-growing regional markets.

Grimaldi’s is best known for its coal-fired brick-oven pizzas, along with calzones, salads and desserts served in an upscale-casual restaurant setting.
The concept traces its roots to the New York pizza tradition and has since grown into a multi-state restaurant brand. Its move into Sarasota and Southwest Florida represents another step in the company’s expansion into high-growth Sun Belt markets.…
