VENICE, Fla. (WWSB) – Venice police have arrested a third suspect in connection with a Sept. 23 armed home invasion in the 3000 block of Laurel Road East.
Frankie Bartolo Mercado Jr., 43, of Cape Coral, was arrested Tuesday, police said.
Detectives alleged Mercado helped plan the targeted robbery and gave the other two suspects information about the homeowner and the residence. Police said he knew the homeowner through past business dealings.
