Man’s Blood Alcohol Level Stuns Cops During DUI Arrest

Police have to deal with DUI cases on a daily basis, but even they can be surprised every now and then over how drunk a driver can get behind the wheel. That’s what happened in Florida when deputies found a man in a stopped vehicle whose blood alcohol level was so dangerously high that he was unresponsive to their shouts. As revealed on video, that forced them to break one of the vehicle’s windows just to check on the driver.

Driver had a blood alcohol level that could have been fatal

On October 4 at around 1:30 p.m., deputies arrested a man from Cape Coral, later identified as Fernando Guillen Delgado, for a DUI after finding him passed out behind the wheel, according to a post by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on its official Facebook page.

Bodycam footage shows the deputy finding the man barely conscious in the front seat of a white SUV that had stopped near the intersection of Littleton Road and N. Cleveland Avenue. The driver had drool down his shirt and was slumped over, leading police to check on him for a potneital medical emergency.

However, Delgado did not respond after a deputy knocked on the window multiple times. To gain entry to the vehicle, the cop shattered a backseat window and then unlocked the driver’s door from the inside. Deputies discovered multiple open and empty Modelo beer cans around the front seat and found that the vehicle was still in drive while Delgado’s foot was still on the brake…
