CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A mooring field is coming to Bimini Basin. The city council approved the nearly half-million-dollar project at Wednesday’s meeting. Cape Coral leaders want to let liveaboard boaters have a mooring field that will let people stay for weeks up to 6 months. The basin will have 15 spots for boaters. The plan also adds public showers and restrooms to Four Freedoms Park for boaters to use when they come ashore.
