Man Arrested for Pulling Knife on Customers at Southwest Florida Bar

Cape Coral, FL – A disturbance at BackStreets Sports Bar in Cape Coral led to the arrest of Timothy Brewer, a 40-year-old man accused of pulling a knife on other customers.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, the incident unfolded around 11:05 p.m. on Monday when Brewer, visibly intoxicated and becoming aggressive, was asked to leave the bar.

After causing a disturbance and being requested to leave, Brewer departed but later returned to the bar, brandishing a pocket knife and shouting obscenities.

Police were called to the scene, and upon their arrival, Brewer was located on the back patio.

During questioning, Brewer admitted to having a knife and voluntarily handed it over to the officers without incident.

Despite receiving a trespass warning, Brewer resisted officers by refusing to provide his identification, name, and date of birth, resulting in his arrest.

Brewer faces charges of breach of peace and resisting or obstructing an officer without violence.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Jail.
