BABCOCK RANCH — Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is warning drivers to avoid the area of State Road 31 — and definitely Bermont Road early Tuesday.
“Due to an overturned semi-truck on SR31, Bermont Rd. will be closed near the area of Babcock Ranch Eco Tours entrance,” it stated in a social media post about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. “This closure is likely to last for hours as crews work to extract the truck and its cargo.”
There was no other information immediately available on the wreck.
“Please avoid the area,” CCSO stated.
