FORT MYERS, Fla. – The body of a man was found in an empty field along Markland Avenue in the Belle Vue neighborhood of Fort Myers on Saturday afternoon. According to the Fort Myers Police Department, they are investigating the death of Aubrey Byron Carter, 63, as a homicide.
