FORT MYERS, Fla. – A church was evacuated, and there was a large police presence at the Fort Myers Seventh-day Adventist Church on Ortiz Avenue Saturday afternoon. The church at 3451 Ortiz Ave. was evacuated to the parking lot at the neighboring Edison Apartments after Fort Myers Police Officers were called in reference to a suspicious person who was potentially armed.
