Dominique Fatal, a recent graduate, has made strides in the field of supply chain management. Her interest in this field started in middle school when she joined Swim Florida, a competitive swimming organization. She won second place in her first event, the 50-meter butterfly, which taught her the importance of hard work and perseverance.
Fatal decided to major in supply chain management, a field less chosen than other business majors such as marketing, business administration, or accounting. Despite initial job security concerns, her professors assured her of the field’s stability and financial potential. She also pursued a second major in computer information systems, acknowledging the ongoing demand in technology careers.
Professor Piyush Shah was a key figure in her academic journey. He motivated her to become the president of the Supply Chain Management Club, where he served as the advisor. Shah’s enthusiasm for the field and his guidance helped Fatal define her career goals. Shah commended Fatal for her persistence and resilience.
