COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Florida Highway Patrol Troopers are on the scene of an airplane landing on southbound Interstate 75, near mile marker 107 in Collier County, and crashing into two vehicles.
There are two fatalities confirmed, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The NTSB is the lead investigative agency and will provide further information once available. FHP is assisting with the investigation and processing of the scene.
The northbound lanes of Interstate 75 have reopened as of 7:40 pm.
The southbound lanes of Interstate 75 remain closed as the scene investigation remains ongoing.
