TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A trio of men were caught on camera attempting to break into a safe at a jewelry store in Florida on Sunday.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), the three men seen on the video were breaking into VIP Fine Jewelry in Lehigh Acres in the early morning hours of Feb. 11.

Deputies discovered two of the suspects on the roof. One suspect jumped from the roof and was apprehended while the other fled on foot, according to LCSO.
The second man was pursued and apprehended near a canal bank with assistance from the sheriff’s office aviation unit.
The third man was found by deputies behind the jewelry plaza. Sheriff’s deputies said the men cut a hole in the roof to access the store, cut lines to a server rack and disabled the security system.
“These wannabe ninjas were no match for the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. This was outstanding work by the responding deputies,” Sheriff Carmine Marceno said. “Our aviation unit quickly caught these men after they thought they could pull off a seamless burglary. Let this be a lesson, you will not get away with this in Lee County. Enjoy your fresh sides at the Marceno Motel.”
