Whym’sy Waffles, an authentic Belgian waffle shop owned by Sybille Hanquet, is set to open at 17274 San Carlos Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931, Julien Vandecasteele, Hanquet’s husband, told Business Debut.
The brick and mortar location will open as soon as the buildout is completed, with a target date of March. In the meantime, Whym’sy Waffles is opening a food trailer to introduce their desserts sooner. Expect the trailer to open in October or early November.
The shop will specialize in Brussels waffles and Liege waffles, the latter being a richer, caramel-flavored waffle made with imported pearl sugar.
