Firefighters battle floodwaters to rescue 2 people and 5 dogs in South Fort Myers

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – The South Trail Fire and Rescue Service District battled against floodwaters to rescue 2 people and 5 dogs Thursday night during Hurricane Helene. According to the fire department, several different districts were helping people leave their flooded homes when they got a call for a possible fire off of Coca Sabal Lane.
