LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A local group is once again using the power of social media and community to help people pick up the pieces after a hurricane. Rebuild SWFL started organizing volunteer groups after Hurricane Ian. They cleaned out homes and businesses, cleaned up beaches and pulled debris from streets and mangroves. Now, they’re jumping back into action after Hurricane Helene. The group is meeting tomorrow on Sanibel to clear out properties.
