FORT MYERS, Fla. – Southwest Florida will need to prepare for impacts from Hurricane Milton in the coming week. Through tonight, tropical air well ahead of the hurricane will provide our area with times of locally heavy rain. Though we do not anticipate widespread severe weather, times of flooding and an isolated spin-up tornado threat can’t be ruled out.
