A recent review of restaurant inspections in Lee County, Florida, revealed that a number of establishments have faced notable violations in the past 30 days. While the majority of restaurants in the county passed their inspections, several were cited for multiple violations, ranging from basic to high-priority issues.

State records showed that the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation conducted inspections at 223 restaurants in Lee County in the last 30 days.

While 167 establishments passed on their first visit, 56 restaurants failed to meet standards initially.

With a population of 834,573, according to the United States Census Bureau’s 2023 reports, Lee County has so many residents and visitors relying on local dining options.

Leading With Violations

Several restaurants stood out for having numerous violations during recent inspections. State records revealed that Magic Wok in Fort Myers topped the list with 17 violations, including three high-priority issues. However, many were corrected on-site before inspectors left.
