‘History screaming to be told’

Ghostbusters and ghost hunters, eat your heart out.

This Southwest Florida fellow is killing it in the otherworldly realm, all without the fancy equipment and reality TV cameras following his — and other entities’ — every move.

By day, Christopher Balzano is an English teacher at a Fort Myers High School.

But when darkness creeps in, the 49-year-old longtime Cape Coral resident focuses on his other passion — the paranormal.

Ever since he was a young lad growing up in Boston, Balzano has been fascinated by unexplained phenomena many others dismiss as nothing more than an old house creaking or occurrences that science has yet to explain.

Yet on a recent “Haunted History Tour” in downtown Fort Myers that the affable Balzano regularly leads for a company called True Tours, a small group of participants, including this reporter, were quite perplexed and even slightly spooked by the haunting tales.
