PORT CHARLOTTE — A woman arrested on a domestic violence charge allegedly kicked a deputy as she was being arrested.
Marisol Diaz, 31, has been charged with one count each of battery against a first responder, domestic battery, and resisting arrest with violence, according to records released Monday.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office arrested her after responding to a 911 hangup around 11:11 p.m. Wednesday.
In the arrest report, Diaz allegedly stated she had been drinking prior to an argument between her and another person.
The other person, who made the original call, alleged Diaz had grabbed his shirt and scratched him on the chest during the argument.
He told officers Diaz allegedly flipped over a table during the argument and threatened to call 911 on him, believing that he had sided against her and with her relative.
Deputies described Diaz as “extremely loud” in the report, to the point of yelling in one deputy’s face.
At one point, Diaz is asked if things became “physical” between herself and the caller. Her response was redacted in the report, with the explanation given for the redaction being that Florida law requires confessions to criminal acts to be redacted.
