Charlotte County reopens some boat ramps

PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County Community Services has reopened some of the county’s boat ramps.

Three boat ramps remain closed due to extensive damage and unseen hazards caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Open boat ramps include:

• Ainger Creek Park

• Butterford Waterway Park

• Darst Park

• El Jobean Boat Ramp

• Harbour Heights Park

• Placida Park

• Spring Lake Park

Closed boat ramps:

• Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Park

• Port Charlotte Beach Park

• South Gulf Cove Park

The Spring Lake Park boat ramp will close Nov. 11 for a previously scheduled repair project. The estimated timeline is 60 days.

Several of the county’s fishing piers and all of its public beaches remained closed.
