PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County deputies arrested a man after he allegedly attacked his mother’s fiancé in the middle of the night.
Richy Radetskiy, 28, has been charged with one count of aggravated battery with great bodily harm, according to reports released Wednesday. He was held at Charlotte County Jail on $20,000 bond.
According to his arrest report, Radetskiy spoke with his mother’s fiancé and threatened to beat him up late Friday.
Radetskiy’s mother was sleeping in a vehicle parked in the family’s driveway and her fiancé tried to wake her up. Radetskiy then allegedly threatened him again and pushed him onto the pavement.
The fiancé then went back into the house and locked himself in the bathroom.
Radetskiy allegedly broke into the bathroom and took the fiancé’s cellphone, throwing it to the ground.
“(Radetskiy) then began to punch the victim all over his body causing significant injuries,” the report stated.
The man eventually got away and went outside to smoke a cigarette. However, Radetskiy followed him outside and pointed a pistol at him.
