PORT CHARLOTTE — Deputies arrested a woman on Sunday for allegedly hitting a man who she was caretaker for with a TV remote, causing a laceration on his face.
The woman allegedly gave a fake name to the deputies who investigated the reported abuse and continued to go by that name while being processed at the jail.
De’yanna Natasha Stultz, 30, has been charged with one count each of adult abuse without great harm, presenting a false ID to law enforcement, and resisting arrest without violence.
Deputies with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call around 2:50 a.m. for a domestic incident; the address of the call was redacted in the arrest report.
According to that report, the suspect identified herself to deputies as “Diana L. Lorde.”
She also handed her Florida ID card to deputies, though they did a record search with the card’s number that instead linked to the Stultz name.
The woman told deputies that she was the caretaker for another adult living in the home, who she said had called 911 for no reason.
