Iona McGregor Fire District acquires special operations vehicle to help with dive rescues

Earlier this year, the Iona McGregor Fire District posted some good news on its Facebook page. The headline said: Introducing Dive 70!

Dive 70 is IMFD’s newest special operations vehicle, focused on providing dive assets across the district and throughout Lee County for dive rescue operations.

According to the social media post, Dive 70 is:

  • Equipped with multiple dive set-ups and a command station
  • Dive 70 allows the IMFD dive team to respond swiftly and carry out effective and efficient dive operations.

The post goes on to say: This project was a result of hard work from several of IMFD team members, especially the dive team leaders: Dionne Streete , Daniel Adkins , and Robert Schwandner . Their dedication will always be known with the inclusion of their names on a special plate dedicating the in-service date of the vehicle and those members efforts.
