Are your holiday cocktails falling flat like leftover Champagne?
Help is here.
Four local bartenders from Cape Coral to Naples shared these festive cocktail recipes you can replicate at home to impress your guests.
Snow Globe
While she won’t be making it at Sage on 47th in Cape Coral, craft cocktail wizard Brittany Bowman says this viral drink is “easy to do when you’re home for the holidays.” Fill a freezer-safe glass one-quarter of the way with water and secure a sprig of rosemary with clips and toothpicks in the center. Freeze. Vigorously shake 1.5 ounces of vodka, 0.5 ounce of rosemary simple and 0.5 ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Slowly pour into frozen glass. Top with Champagne or sparkling wine. Add frozen cranberries for show.
Snow Days
Take 1 ounce of apple juice, 0.5 ounce of honey, 0.75 ounce lemon juice, 1.5 ounces of bourbon and 0.5 ounce of spiced pear liquor. Shake big. Serve over ice for a cocktail “on the sweet side but with a warm feeling.” “It’s like hot apple bourbon cider,” Bowman said.
