Lee Health is committed to and invested in providing healthcare that is proactive, seamless, equitable and convenient. The new Golisano Pediatric Clinic at Franklin Park Elementary School in the Dunbar community of Fort Myers is helping us deliver on that commitment.
This first-of-its-kind health clinic is a collaborative effort between Lee Health, the School District of Lee County and the United Way. It is conveniently located on the school grounds and offers comprehensive health solutions for students, families and community members. The clinic provides vital services such as sick visits, well-being checks, physicals and immunizations. The United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades is also available within the facility to support families and staff with resources such as food, clothing, family engagement opportunities and educational support. The clinic is open 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Franklin Park Elementary School is a Community Partnership School where a set of community partners collaborate to provide community resources to students and families. Together, Lee Health, the School District of Lee County, United Way and Florida Gulf Coast University are focused on four pillars, including expanded learning, wellness supports, family and community engagement, and collaborative leadership. By focusing on these pillars, we can work to address barriers to success, such as hunger, poverty, lack of access to adequate healthcare, lack of educational support and other challenges.
