PORT CHARLOTTE, Florida — A man was arrested after allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail at an occupied vehicle in his driveway, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred early Monday morning, following a domestic dispute.Deputies responded to a residence on Midway Blvd. on December 29, after Jon Scott Warner, a 61-year-old resident, reported an argument with a female. Although no arrest was made initially, deputies advised Warner of his options before leaving. Later, Warner called again, suspecting the female had taken his debit card. A man at the scene reported that Warner had thrown a lit object at his vehicle, which burst into flames, damaging the windshield and spilling onto the driveway. The object was identified as a Molotov cocktail, constructed with gasoline, a plastic bottle, and a wick.Sheriff Bill Prummell commented on the incident, stating, “This could have been very, very bad for everyone involved.
