Five Arrested in Rankin County ATM Fraud Scheme

Five individuals from Florida have been arrested in Rankin County after authorities uncovered an ATM fraud operation involving stolen debit and credit card information.

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a suspicious individual reportedly using stolen card information to make fraudulent withdrawals from an ATM in Pearl. Investigators conducting surveillance in the area observed a Black male riding a scooter back and forth between a nearby hotel and the ATM, conducting multiple transactions.

After securing search warrants through the Rankin County Justice Court, investigators carried out a takedown operation at the hotel, detaining five suspects without incident. The individuals were identified as: Caesar Allen, Lashuntavia Dequanna Mathis, Takya Princess Mathis, Gary Louis Coley, and Percy James Williams.

All five suspects face multiple felony charges related to fraudulent transactions and are currently being held without bond at the Rankin County Detention Center pending their initial court appearance…
