PORT CHARLOTTE — Gulf Coast Partnership CEO Angela Hogan says federal funds to help unhoused families — and those at risk for becoming homeless — are in limbo.
During a recent roundtable held by The Daily Sun, Hogan said cuts to the federal government are impacting some of the region’s most vulnerable residents. It includes struggling families, disabled veterans, elderly residents, people with disabilities and people recovering from back-to-back hurricanes.
But, despite that hold-up, participants at the roundtable were optimistic of being able to help people in Charlotte, DeSoto and southern Sarasota County who don’t have a home.
