PUNTA GORDA — A Punta Gorda man is facing four felony charges, accused of withdrawing more than $1,000 of Social Security benefits from a disabled homeless woman’s account and using it to buy scratch-off lottery tickets.
Jeremiah A. Cole, 48, of 15522 Orchid Drive, Punta Gorda, is charged with exploitation of an elderly or disabled adult, grand theft from person 65 or older, fraudulent use of a credit card, and possession of another person’s ID without consent, according to court records released Thursday.
