Local Figure Skaters Shine in South Florida Competition

Congratulations to Houston and Cameron Konetzki, associate members of the Greater Pensacola Figure Skating Club, who recently competed at the 3rd Annual Paradise Coast Classic in Estero, Florida. The event was hosted by the Florida Everblades Figure Skating Club at the Hertz Arena and featured skaters from across the United States.

Houston Konetzki, age 15, competed in the Intermediate Combined Solo Dance event, performing an American Waltz pattern dance and his free dance program. He achieved a personal milestone by improving his combined ISU judging score by 7.63 points—a boost that will enhance his standing in the U.S. Figure Skating Solo Dance Series.

Cameron Konetzki, age 13, took the ice in the Juvenile Combined Solo Dance event with a Hickory Hoedown pattern dance and his free dance. His strong performance earned him a bronze medal and he maintains his 6th-place ranking on the East Coast in the USFS Solo Dance Series standings…
