A Fort Myers man facing murder charges nearly killed a fellow Lee County Jail inmate, even as Michigan officials look into the death of a former roommate.
Yanko Romero, 41, was in court June 11 for a pretrial detention hearing, where state prosecutors asked that he remain in custody without bond. Lee Circuit Judge Nicholas Thompson OK’d Assistant State Attorney Sara Miller’s request.
